The story begins with a love for relaxation in a Hammock

Over a decade ago, our founder was looking for a lightweight, quality hammock that was easy to set up and inspired confidence. Seemingly simple – but impossible to find on the market. They were either too heavy, too fragile, too complicated to set up with impossible knots to tie or untie, and often came with poor-quality carabiners of alarming weakness. Nothing matched what he envisioned.

Then another idea came: what if you could set up a hammock anywhere, even without trees? That's when the concept of the hitch-mounted hammock stand was born. Again, the market offered nothing satisfactory. So, rather than compromise, he picked up a pencil and started drawing his own design.

Design, test, perfect

The result? The Hitch 'N Relax — a unique stand on the market, designed with an exclusive feature: the hitch bar detaches from the stand for more compact storage. A detail that changes everything.

But the stand alone wasn't enough. A hammock designed specifically for this situation was also needed. So we designed one. And that's how RLX Outdoors was born: one problem at a time, one solution at a time.

One logo, a thousand interpretations

Our logo represents a classic relaxation scene: a peaceful lake, mountains on the horizon, and sunlight — at sunrise or sunset, depending on what you see. Because relaxation is personal. Everyone has their moment, their place, their ideal landscape. Our logo belongs to you as much as it does to us.

RLX Outdoors is a proudly Canadian company. While our products are manufactured in China to ensure an accessible price, everything else happens here in Canada: creation, design, endurance testing, and quality control are regularly carried out by our team.

Every product bearing the RLX Outdoors name has been conceived, tested, and validated here, in our climatic conditions and on our terrains. Because we don't put our name on something we wouldn't use ourselves.
